Walking safaris and nature walks

Leave the vehicle behind. Walk with a ranger to a waterfall, across the plains, or into Eastern Arc forest.

Some of the best moments on safari happen on foot. In Arusha National Park an armed ranger walks you through the forest to the waterfalls and along the Momella Lakes, with buffalo and giraffe at a respectful distance.

The Lark Plains are explored entirely on foot with Maasai guides, and the Usambara and Udzungwa mountains have no roads inside the forest at all. Ruaha offers guided bush walks from camp, and at Gombe the whole chimpanzee experience is a walk.

Walks are led by licensed guides and rangers, and we match the length and difficulty to your group.
